Koenzym Q10 zwany też ubichinolem to antyoksydant, który jest wytwarzany w organizmie człowieka. Jest niezbędny do prawidłowego funkcjonowania komórek jak i także(zwłaszcza) ich mitochondriów. Poziom tej substancji obniża się wraz z wiekiem, może być niski w przypadku choroby nowotworowej, zaburzeń genetycznych, cukrzycy, problemów z układem kardiologicznym, zażywaniem statyn, w przypadki HIV/AIDS, dystrofi mięśniowych, w chorobie Parkinsona i innych. Koenzym Q10 może być dostarczony z diety lub w formie suplementu(co też polecam). Symptomy niedoboru to np.wysokie ciśnienie krwi, problemy z sercem czy też ból w klatce piersiowej i wiele innych.
